| | Hindu family members smear each other with color during the Festival of Color in March 2005 at the Shankhari Bazaar in Dhaka. The images were captured as part of a six-year photographic project on Old Dhaka. Abir covered his camera with polythene to protect it as reds, greens, blues, yellows and every other colour of the rainbow were thrown about. For this shot, he and colleagues were taken to a building where this family was celebrating hard and asked permission to shoot. The images were later published in a local book called Festival of Bangladesh. |
