| | Recent university graduate Cao Lang stands at the door of a restaurant to welcome customers on June 8, 2005 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Twenty-one-year-old Cao shaved her head after signing a contract with the restaurant to attract customers to the restaurant. About 3.38 million college students will graduate this summer, 580,000 more than last year. Graduates face fierce job competition, as the numbers of graduates leaving colleges and universities have increased since 1999. |
