Says Precila, from Zimbabwe, who has been living in Cape Town for a year: “When we heard they would attack us, we immediately took refuge with the police. They sent us to the church and from there we were sent to the camp here. I was working in a restaurant on weekends but I can’t go to work any more. I have a child that I have to look after. If they could guarantee our safety, I would go back to work.”
