A NAAFA Convention participant is issued with her wrist pass before entering the ball, the culminating event of the NAAFA convention. During the ball, there is much merry-making and awards are handed out to different members for their contributions to the fat acceptance community. I was the only present who was not permitted to take photographs since I was practically a stranger to most of them.
